Captain Bill Gallagher 10 Mile Island Run
Beach Patrol Headquarters (44th Street & boardwalk), 5:30-7pm, sicbp.com
In this 10-mile race, 2½ miles are on the boardwalk, the remainder on the beach. The awards ceremony will be held at 7:30pm. Cancellations will be posted on the Beach Patrol website at 4:30pm the day of the event. A registration fee is required. The first 1,000 registrants will receive a free T-shirt.

Wedding of the Sea Procession + Festival

Celebrate the Feast of the Assumption with St. Joseph Church. Immediately following the 4pm Mass, a procession to the beach for the traditional blessing of the ocean will take place. After the blessing, participants are invited to go to the Parish Life Center parking lot for the annual festival featuring hot food, games, and a silent auction. Tickets are now available. This is a BYOB event.
