Guided Beachcombing

Finish your summer on a high note by searching for hidden treasures along the beaches of Townsends Inlet. Beachgoers of all ages can come search the beach for washed-up treasures and unique items, all while learning about the unique ecosystem along the beach. Register in the Townsends Inlet Park parking lot.

Free Concert Under the Stars: Jesse Garron (Elvis Tribute)

Come on over to Excursion Park for one last summer concert under the stars. At this free-admission event, guests this summer have sung and danced with tribute bands of varying genres. Make sure to bring a blanket and some beach chairs, scope out a nice spot on the lawn, and enjoy this night of fun.

Pose for Peace Beach Yoga

Join yoga instructor Teri O’Connor for a relaxing workout and support a great cause. Pose for Peace is an annual Labor Day fundraiser, with all proceeds from the class going to the National Epilepsy Foundation. The class is set up in the shape of a peace sign, where you can collectively send out a wave of peace to the world!

Patriot Day Ceremony: September 11th Remembered

The Patriot Day Ceremony honors those who lost their lives in the terrorist attacks Sept. 11, 2001. The ceremony will include speeches, patriotic hymns, and a wreath-laying ceremony. The event will involve local first responders, county officials, religious leaders and community members.

5K Run for Nurses/ 1 Mile Walk

Hosted by Dalrymple’s Card & Gift Shoppe, the 2021 Run for Nurses is an event to help raise money for future frontline workers. There will be a 5K run, a 1-mile youth run, and a 1-mile walk. The top three overall female and male runners will be awarded. Proceeds will benefit the Cape Regional Foundation by providing funding for both the Robert J. Sorenson Employee Education Fund and the Nursing and Allied Health Scholarship Fund.

POW-MIA Recognition Day Ceremony

Held by Cape May County American Legion members, the POW-MIA Recognition Day Ceremony honors and remembers our nation’s prisoners of war and soldiers who are still missing in action. Join elected officials and community members in Veterans Park for flag presentations, poem readings and patriotic hymns.

Sea Isle’s Fall Family Festival will begin Saturday with a Seaside Vendor Craft Market on the Promenade, a Food Court in front of Excursion Park, live music, family activities, and free amusement rides throughout the day. On Sunday, car enthusiasts will enjoy the Antique Auto Show and Parade that shows off an impressive collection of vintage vehicles. Trophies will be presented to the winners of the show at 1pm, followed by an auto show parade through town.

Beautification Award Presentation

The Sea Isle City Environmental Commission’s Beautification Award is open to properties that have shown improvement in overall appearance, architecture and landscaping. Enter your own home or nominate someone’s private home or a business. All applications are to be returned to the Sea Isle City Welcome Center by Sept. 9, and the winners will be announced Sept. 19.

2nd Annual James J. Bennett Jr. Golf Outing

A scholar-athlete, a friend, a brother, and a son – James Bennett did it all with class and a smile as bright as the sun. Hit the links in support of the James J. Bennett Jr. ’14 Memorial Fund. Proceeds help fund scholarships for St. Augustine Prep students. Event registration will begin at 10am, with a shotgun start at 11am. Cocktails, dinner and awards will follow the scramble format golf outing. Foursome and sponsorship packages are available.

On your mark, get set, go! The Leif Aleutian Foundation welcomes members of the community to register for Leif’s Legacy 5K run and 1-mile walk. The race will directly support the foundation’s efforts to raise awareness about premature birth, pregnancy loss, and infant death. The registration cost is $25, and registration ends on Oct. 16.

Get ready to BOO-gie and dance the night away! The Sea Isle City Halloween Parade and Dance Party is back, and will be a night filled with costumes, excitement, and fun for the whole family. ESA/South Jersey District Surfing Contest

Surf’s up! Get ready to compete in the ESA/South Jersey District Surfing Contest this fall. The event includes all shortboard age divisions, open shortboard, all longboard divisions, and bodyboard. The entry fee is $20 ($10 per additional division), and all contestants must have current ESA membership. Contests begin at 8am sharp!
Beach Cleanup

Sponsored by the Environmental Commission, this is the perfect opportunity to lend a helping hand to clean up the beaches of Sea Isle City. Volunteers are needed to scour the beaches for trash and debris, and will be provided with gloves and trash bags.

Time to get spooky! Sea Isle City is inviting residents, businesses and organizations to distribute candy from your trunks or open tailgates. A prize will be awarded at the end of the evening to the best-decorated vehicle. Contact the Recreation Office for more information or to reserve a spot for your vehicle.

Veterans Day Ceremony
