Now that Mayor Pagliughi over in Avalon has retired, we thought it would be fun to go back 16 years to Sept. 30, 2007 – the very first in a series of epic bocce battles for the Mayor’s Cup. Sea Isle’s Mayor Lenny captured more than his share of trophies from Avalon and Mayor Pagliughi. We’ll have to wait to see if new Mayor McCorristin is up to the challenge against Lenny and his hard-to-beat team.
