Proceeds from the race will benefit the Cooper University Cape Regional Hospital Foundation by providing funding for the Robert J. Jen and Brian Larsen, of Sea Isle City and Skagway, Alaska, founded their nonprofit and this event in memory of their son, Leif Aleutian. The event raises awareness of premature birth and infant death and supports research and care for infants and babies. Proceeds will benefit two medical facilities: Shore Medical Center’s Special Care Nursery in Somers Point, and pediatric care at the Dahl Memorial Clinic in Skagway.
