Run for Nurses 5K Run/1 Mile Walk

Hosted by Dalrymple’s Card and Gift, this event will raise funds for future frontline workers. Proceeds from the race will benefit the Cooper University Cape Regional Hospital Foundation by providing funding for the Robert J. Sorenson Employee Education Fund and the Nursing and Allied Health Scholarship Fund. The 5K Run is $35 and the 1 Mile Walk is $25. Registration is required. Check out vintage cars while enjoying live music from the Snake Brothers Band that starts at 10am. The show awards will start at 1pm and the parade to follow at 1:30pm. POW-MIA Recognition Day remembers and honors those who were prisoners of war and those who served and never returned home. Join the VFW Post 1963 in this somber remembrance ceremony.

Leif’s Legacy 5K Fun Run & 1 Mile Walk

Jen and Brian Larsen, of Sea Isle City and Skagway, Alaska, founded their nonprofit and this event in memory of their son, Leif Aleutian. The event raises awareness of premature birth and infant death and supports research and care for infants and babies. Proceeds will benefit two medical facilities: Shore Medical Center’s Special Care Nursery in Somers Point, and pediatric care at the Dahl Memorial Clinic in Skagway.

Local businesses will pop up at Excursion Park throughout the day and attendees are encouraged to drive throughout town to check out the Scarecrow Contest at each participating business.

Dress up your car in the theme of your choice and have a spooky good time at Sea Isle City’s Trunk or Treat. Everyone is welcome to distribute candy from car trunks or open tailgates. Reserve a space by calling the Recreation Department. A prize will be awarded to the best-decorated vehicle at the conclusion of the event.
