Full Moon Beach Yoga

Relax under the moonbeams amid the sound of the waves crashing on the sand. This is a donation-based class benefitting METAvivor, which is dedicated to finding a cure for stage 4 breast cancer. Online registration is required.

Junior Olympics

This free event is open to children from the ages of 3 to 12 and includes running, jumping, and throwing competitions. There will be medals in each bracket. It is sponsored by the City’s Division of Recreation and hosted by volunteers from the Yacht Club of Sea Isle City.

Strathmere Parade

This annual parade will take place on July 4 starting at 10:30am. Registration will open at 9am at the Strathmere Firehouse and judging will begin at 10am. Rain date is July 5.

Fourth of July Fireworks

Bill Liddell Men’s Basketball Tournament

Ruggerfest

Ruggerfest is a 40-plus-year tradition organized by Blackthorn Rugby Football Club. The daylong event will feature more than 20 men’s and women’s matches.

Captain Thomas P. McCann Mascot School and Races

Beach and water safety, races, games, and refreshments are all part of the Mascot School itinerary. Official mascot shirts will be awarded only to children who participate all three days including the Mascot Races on July 14. The fun and excitement of competition is the purpose of the Mascot Races, not the ribbons.

Sea Isle City Beach Patrol’s Junior Lifeguard Program, open to male and female applicants ages 14 to 17, will introduce basic lifesaving skills and rescue techniques. Selected junior guards will participate in a Tuesday and Thursday afternoon rowing program. Junior guards in need of swim instruction can sign up for a stroke clinic. Enrollment is limited to the first 40 applicants.

Seize the Wave

This is a special surf instruction event sponsored by Paul’s Purple Warriors and Epilepsy Services of NJ. The event allows 35 registered attendees to participate in instructional surf lessons provided by Heritage Surf Shop and Tass Home Remodeling. The surf lessons will start on the beach and then each participant will go out into the ocean with a surfer.
