This free batting competition is open to boys and girls, ages 7-12. Prizes for most participants, and the first-, second-, and third-place finishers in each age group advance to regional finals. Beach Classic Men’s Hockey Street Tournament

It’s time to dig out those old hockey sticks and helmets and get ready to compete! In this three-day tournament, you can enjoy the classic winter sport with a beach flair. There will be varying levels of skill, as well as men’s and coed games, in a round-robin format.

Sandy Sprint 5K & Family Walk

The Sandy Sprint is hosted by the Sandy Rollman Ovarian Cancer Foundation in an effort to spread the word about its mission and raise funds to advance research. Seize the Wave

This event is open to 35 registered attendees who will have the opportunity to take part in instructional surf lessons provided by Heritage Surf Shop and Tass Home Remodeling. The surf lessons will begin on the beach, and each participant will then head out into the ocean with a surfer. “Seize the Wave” is a special surf instruction event that has been made possible through the collaborative efforts of Epilepsy Services of New Jersey and Paul’s Purple Warriors.

Junior Lifeguard Program

Sea Isle City Beach Patrol’s Junior Lifeguard Program is open to male and female applicants ages 14-17. Selected junior guards will participate in an afternoon rowing program. Junior guards in need of swim instruction can sign up for a stroke clinic held on Thursdays. Enrollment in the program is limited to the first 40 applicants. The program introduces basic lifesaving skills and rescue techniques.
