Beginners can dive into the game with expert instruction, while seasoned players can test their skills in a thrilling competitive format. Thirty percent of registration fees will be donated to For Pete’s Sake Cancer Respite Foundation. Rain date is July 19.

Gather your friends and family, then register for the 3rd annual Maryanne Pastry Shoppe Cornhole for Cancer. The goal is to raise money to support Travel Respite Experiences for families. Steve Libro Men’s Basketball Tournament

This free batting competition is open to boys and girls, ages 7-12. Prizes for most participants, and the first-, second-, and third-place finishers in each age group advance to regional finals. Time slots: 10am, boys ages 7-8 & 9-10; noon, all girls 7-12, boys ages 11-12. Register the day of the event starting at 9am.

Beach Classic Men’s Hockey Street Tournament

It’s time to dig out those old hockey sticks and helmets and get ready to compete! In this three-day tournament, you can enjoy the classic winter sport with a beach flair. There will be varying levels of skill, as well as men’s and coed games, in a round-robin format.

Sandy Sprint 5K & Family Walk

The Sandy Sprint is hosted by the Sandy Rollman Ovarian Cancer Foundation in an effort to spread the word about its mission and raise funds to advance research. The event includes a 5K Run, a 2-mile family fun walk, a survivor ceremony, and more! Race-day registration begins at 7:30am and the event will begin at 8:30am.

Hosted by the Sea Isle City Beach Patrol, the 1-mile ocean swim event is an exhilarating challenge that tests both physical and mental endurance. Dollar Dog Day

The public is invited to attend this community event and enjoy $1 hot dogs, sodas, chips, and other popular snacks. Proceeds from the event benefit veterans and active-duty military members.

Seize the Wave

This event is open to 35 registered attendees who will have the opportunity to take part in instructional surf lessons provided by Heritage Surf Shop and Tass Home Remodeling. The surf lessons will begin on the beach, and each participant will then head out into the ocean with a surfer. “Seize the Wave” is a special surf instruction event that has been made possible through the collaborative efforts of Epilepsy Services of New Jersey and Paul’s Purple Warriors.

Junior Lifeguard Program

Sea Isle City Beach Patrol’s Junior Lifeguard Program is open to male and female applicants ages 14-17. Selected junior guards will participate in an afternoon rowing program. Junior guards in need of swim instruction can sign up for a stroke clinic held on Thursdays. Enrollment in the program is limited to the first 40 applicants. The program introduces basic lifesaving skills and rescue techniques.

The Beach Bards Poetry and Prose Reading Series presents both emerging and established poets and writers from June through August. Poets will perform readings from their original works. Afterward, poets will sign copies of their books when available.

The Sea Isle City Chamber of Commerce and Revitalization invites teens 15-20 to enjoy a night out at Excursion Park. This free event includes karaoke up on the stage, cornhole, and pickup volleyball games with members of the SIC Police Department.
