Grace Adelizzi is excited to bring her new boutique, Izzi & Lu, to the Townsend’s Inlet section of Sea Isle City. Her store offers unique gifts, women’s and children’s clothing, and home decor.
“My mom [Rose] has always been my inspiration,” says Adelizzi, a lacrosse star for Middle Township High School who scored 100 goals in her senior season. “She owns The Preppy Palm in Avalon and is entering her 20th year in business. So, I have been in the retail industry since I was 10 years old. I have always dreamed of owning my own store, but I was waiting for the right time, enough start-up money, and the perfect space.”
With a degree in fashion merchandising and management from Philadelphia University, combined with growing up in the business, Adelizzi is no stranger to retail. During the pandemic, she had started making hand-beaded mask chains and selling them on Instagram. She was asked if these chains could be custom-made as bracelets and expanded her business from there. Izzi Jewels was created in April 2021 as an online presence, but the dream of a storefront was always in the back of her mind. While scoping out storefronts with her fiancé and his business partner, Adelizzi stumbled upon the space and knew it was the perfect fit for her boutique.
Izzi & Lu will be open daily from 10am-7pm. Check out the business on Facebook and Instagram, and stop in to shop this summer.
