BOWDEN REESE ROBARTS
Bowden Reese Robarts made first-time parents of Dana Iannelli and Michael Robarts of Sea Isle City on Jan. 9. Born at AtlantiCare Regional Medical Center, Mainland Campus, he weighed 6 pounds, 10 ounces and measured 21.5 inches long. His grandparents are MaryAnn and Alfred Iannelli of Williamstown, Steve Robarts of Capetown, South Africa, and Rensche Steppe of Pineda de Mar, Spain, and his great-grandmother is Erna Els of Pretoria, South Africa. Bowden’s mom and dad are the owners of Shorebreak Cafe in Townsends Inlet. Along with their pup, Butters, they are looking forward to making many Sea Isle memories with their new addition.
MAEVE SARA HANNA & MAIRE THERESE HANNA
Twin girls Maeve Sara and Maire Therese Hanna were born Nov. 27 to Meaghan and Colin Hanna. Born at the Hospital of University of Philadelphia, the girls weighed 6 pounds 1 ounce and 5 pounds 6 ounces, respectively.
Their grandparents are John and Moira Smith, of Sea Isle City, and Ken and Pat Hanna, of Bethlehem, Pa. The girls are looking forward to spending every summer in Sea Isle City and being future employees at Shorebreak Cafe and the Yacht Club of Sea Isle City, where their mom worked for many years.

DENNIS TWP. STUDENT WINS SPELLING BEE
Johanna Craig from Dennis Township School took first place in the annual spelling bee for eighth grade students held in February by the Knights of Columbus Madonna Maria Council of St. Joseph Church.
Craig secured the first place and a $250 prize by correctly spelling “perpetrator.” Finley Edwards of Bishop McHugh Regional Catholic School took second place, earning $150, while Vera Nece, also from Bishop McHugh, placed third, receiving $100. Each winner also received a plaque.
There were 17 students who participated in this year’s competition. Students and their families enjoyed pizza and snacks following the spelling bee.

AARP HOSTS ST. PATRICK’S DAY LUNCH
In celebration of St. Patrick’s Day, Sea Isle City’s AARP Chapter 710 hosted a festive luncheon on March 13, with nearly all 75 members in attendance. Guests were encouraged to don their best Irish-themed attire for a chance to win a $25 cash prize.
This year’s “Best Dressed Irish” winners were Jeanne Kerper of Sea Isle City and Carla Bellucci of Mount Laurel, who impressed attendees with their ensembles. They each were awarded a $25 cash prize for their festive spirit and attire.
AARP Chapter 710 meets on the second Thursday of each month from September through June at Sea Isle City’s Community Lodge. Meetings offer members the chance to socialize, play games, enjoy guest speakers, and gain valuable information. New members are always welcome.
