The entire fleet of the Sea Isle City Volunteer Fire Department, Mayor Leonard Desiderio, City Council, family and friends gathered for a parade in front of former Fire Chief Frank Edwardi’s home on June 16. The parade was to honor Edwardi and his nearly 50 years of dedicated service to the department, including serving as chief from 2011 until his retirement in 2020.

Edwardi’s long history with Sea Isle City includes owning and operating Edwardi’s Sunoco Station at 49th Street and Landis Avenue; working at Mike’s Seafood; and serving as the City’s dock master for many years. The parade included a presentation of plaques and many words of praise from attendees including Desiderio and current Fire Chief John Mazurie Jr.
