The Point at Sea Isle City
The Springfield Inn Gives Way to a New Restaurant and Tiki Bar
It was in the very early 1970s when Joe Bisciotti purchased the building at 43rd Street and Pleasure Avenue that had been known as Massey’s, and Jack Gordon’s, and for years before that, as Travascio’s.
Business Buzz
Memorial Day … We made it! As we welcome the unofficial start of the summer season and we get ready to dig our toes in the sand once again, it’s also a great time to take a tour of the town and see what is new within the business community. With several shopping destinations and options for dining planting their roots in Sea Isle City and opening their doors this year, we caught up with the business owners for all the latest buzz.

Reading is a great way to take a break from life. Lately, this world can seem a little crazy at times and it’s easy to find yourself worrying and getting caught up in the craziness. I find that if I grab a good book and take a timeout, getting caught up in a good book is a wonderful distraction.
Beach Reads
Memorial Day weekend is often considered the “unofficial” kickoff to summer. It’s when crowds usually flock to the island, whether it’s for the season or just the weekend. Suddenly it’s a little louder, a little more crowded, and a lot harder to find a parking spot.
Lest We Forget
While Memorial Day marks the traditional opening of the summer season at the Jersey Shore, it is not a day to be celebrated. It is a solemn holiday that is to be observed. This Memorial Day, it is important to remember all of those who made the ultimate sacrifice, giving their lives so we may remain free.

Happy birthday, Big Daddy
Happy birthday to you!
You look like a monkey
And you act like one, too
May 29, my birthday.
Is “Happy Birthday” the greatest song ever written, or what? The very first time I remember hearing that song was my fifth birthday. Cake, candles, singing, presents.
Signature Cocktail
As the summer brings warmer weather, you will need a refreshing cocktail to stay cool, and the Oar House Pub is just the place to go! At the Oar House Pub, you can enjoy pub-style food, craft beers and specialty cocktails all while listening to live music.
That’s Using Your Skull
“Necessity is the mother of invention” means that when put in a particular situation, someone is likely to think about a problem and be inspired to create a novel or ingenious solution.
A Lifetime A Legacy: Jim Iannone
That striking new public pier at 60th Street and the bay – the James R. Iannone Fishing Pier and Kayak Launch – is aptly named. By all accounts, Jim, Jimmy, Dad, Big Jim or Jimmy I. was a natural born leader and a force for good, both publicly and privately.

Financially Speaking: Another Roaring Twenties?
Merry Christmas … er, I meant to say Happy Memorial Day to all. You can see how I may have been confused, since our Uncle Sam has been handing out money at a record pace to help keep the economy going.
Congratulations Class of 2021
