The members of Team Sea Isle, consisting of Mayor Leonard Desiderio and Councilmen Bill Kehner Sr. and Frank Edwardi Jr., were officially sworn in for another four-year term during the city’s reorganization meeting July 1.

I was raised in a classic one-bathroom row home in Southwest Philly. Although as a kid I didn’t get every baseball glove, board game or T-shirt that I asked for, I must say I never particularly wanted for anything.

Where did you receive your culinary training?

On-the-job training. I have been cooking for 38 years now, the past 26 summers at Mike’s Seafood.

Here we are in the final leg of summer’s race, and what a lovely race it is. With lazy, hazy days, warm ocean temps, Jersey tomatoes and seafood aplenty, life is good. It’s so good, we should throw a party.
