The dog days of summer have arrived and while we’re not packing away our beach chairs any time soon, we are looking forward to cooling off with some delicious treats! We all know Sea Isle City is home to some of the best in food, dining and sweet treats among other businesses, and with the addition of this new business in town, the options for your taste buds are endless.

As I was riding my beach cruiser around the neighborhood one sweltering summer evening, I suddenly developed a hankering for an ice-cold refreshment.

Where did you receive your culinary training?

On-the-job training. I have been cooking for 38 years now, the past 26 summers at Mike’s Seafood.

Here we are in the final leg of summer’s race, and what a lovely race it is. With lazy, hazy days, warm ocean temps, Jersey tomatoes and seafood aplenty, life is good. It’s so good, we should throw a party.
