The Monichetti family, a close-knit famiglia with history deeply woven into the fabric of Sea Isle City, recently lost one of their own. Gerry Deery died at age 33.

We are in the dog days of summer which means it is hot, hot, hot and you probably can’t wait to get into the ocean. An unusual natural phenomenon occurred in Townsends Inlet before the Fourth of July weekend when erosion to part of the beach at 94th Street appeared to be crumbling into the ocean. A social media video surfaced on the Facebook group SIC Chatter and was seen on several media outlets throughout the area.

Dan McCann and Katelyn MacCready of Haddonfield were married Oct. 25. Dan, a board member of the Sea Isle City Chamber of Commerce and Revitalization, is the son of Joseph and Dr. Annamarie Young McCann of Sea Isle City.
