Congratulations Graduates Class of 2024

COLLEGE GRADUATES

ABIGAIL CRAIGE
Virginia Wesleyan University

Abigail Craige graduated early from the Batten Honors College at Virginia Wesleyan University in December 2023. The daughter of Doug and Amy Craige of Sea Isle City, she graduated cum laude with a degree in earth and environmental science. In college, she was on the softball team and her freshman year the team won the Division III national championship. She also participated in a winter term in Ecuador and the Galápagos Islands learning about biodiversity and sustainability. She is currently pursuing a master's degree in environmental engineering at Old Dominion University. This summer, she is continuing classes for her master's and spending time with her family.

MARLY GIBSON
West Chester University

Marly Gibson graduated from West Chester University in May. She is the daughter of Chris and Betsy Gibson of Clermont, and the granddaughter of Tony and Lynn Gibson of Sea Isle City and Mary Stearne of Sea Isle City. At West Chester, Marly made the honor roll each year and graduated with a degree in marketing, with a focus on digital marketing. She was also involved in the student recreation center and the CHAARG club (Changing Health, Attitudes and Actions to Recreate Girls). Marly plans to start her career in digital marketing as a social media specialist. This summer, she is moving back to South Jersey to work at Thread & Root Clothing Co. in Cape May.

GEORGIA SULLIVAN
West Virginia University

Georgia Sullivan graduated from West Virginia University in May with a degree in health and well-being, as well as a minor in psychology. The daughter of Colleen Sullivan and the late Joseph Sullivan of Sea Isle City, she plans on completing her master’s degree requirements. In college, Georgia interned at the Betty Puskar Breast Care Center in J.W. Ruby Memorial Hospital in Morgantown, W.Va. This summer, she will be working at Sunset Pier.

HIGH SCHOOL GRADUATES

MICHAEL CARR
Ocean City High School

Michael Carr graduated from Ocean City High School in June. The son of Chris and Kristy Carr of Sea Isle City, he will be attending the University of Delaware in the fall. A honor roll student, Michael was on the varsity surf and swim teams. This summer, he will be lifeguarding for the Sea Isle Beach Patrol, as well as fishing and surfing.

KATHERINE COSSABOON
Ocean City High School

Katherine Cossaboon graduated from Ocean City High School in June. The daughter of Steve and Michelle Cossaboon of Sea Isle City, she will be attending Virginia Tech and studying mathematics education. In high school, Katherine played field hockey and lacrosse, and says spending time with her teammates was one of her highlights of the past four years. In addition to sports, she was involved in Student Ambassadors and the National Honor Society. This summer, she plans to work at Maryanne Pastry Shoppe and Hank Sauce in Sea Isle and spend as much time as possible with friends and family before leaving for college.

ANTHONY EDWARDI
Wildwood Catholic Academy

Anthony Edwardi graduated from Wildwood Catholic Academy in June. The son of Anthony and Jacqueline Edwardi of Sea Isle City, he graduated with first and second honors his junior and senior year of high school. Anthony will be attending Misericordia University in Luzerne County, Pa., where he will major in business administration. After college, he plans to attend the police academy to become a state trooper. In high school, Anthony was on the basketball team all four years, and had stints on the track, baseball, and chess teams. This summer, Anthony will be focusing on improving his basketball skills, as well as delivering for Azzurra Pizza and helping his mother’s cleaning business.


ANGELO FRANCESCONI
St. Augustine Prep

Angelo Francesconi graduated from St. Augustine Preparatory School in May. The son of Jeff and Jen Francesconi of Vineland and the grandson of Joe and Bernadette Battistini of Sea Isle City, he will be attending Drexel University in the fall. He plans to study construction. In high school, Angelo was involved in St. Augustine’s baseball program, and he was also the manager of the basketball team. This summer, he plans to relax and work in preparation for college.

BROOKE HERITAGE
Ocean City High School

Brooke Heritage graduated from Ocean City High School in June. In high school, she was Editor in Chief of her school’s Literary Magazine, and a poem she wrote made it to states at the Cumberland teen arts festival this past year. In the fall, Brooke will attend Rutgers University in New Brunswick, where she will major in visual arts at the Mason Gross School of Arts. Her parents are Brian and Jamie Heritage of Sea Isle City, and this summer, Brooke will be working at her family’s business, Heritage Surf & Sport, where she has worked since freshman year.

DUSTIN “DUSTY” LARICKS JR.
Ocean City High School

Dusty Laricks graduated from Ocean City High School in June. The son of Dustin and Debra Laricks of Sea Isle City, Dusty was on both the soccer and swim teams in high school. He was also in the National Honor Society, Key Club, and Investment Club. Outside of school, he helps organize and run his family’s charity event, Peyton’s Promise, a 5K run/1 mile walk. In the fall, Dusty will be attending Virginia Tech to study business. This will be his third summer as a lifeguard for the Sea Isle City Beach Patrol.


BENJAMIN LYNCH
Cape May County Technical High School

Benjamin Lynch graduated from Cape May County Technical High School in June. The son of Patrick and Kristine Lynch of Sea Isle City, he will be attending St. Joseph’s University in the fall with plans to study business and major in sports marketing. In high school, Ben played basketball and baseball and earned Cape Atlantic League All-Star recognition for both sports his senior year. This summer, he plans to work to save as much money as possible for college.

WILLIAM OWENS
Cape May County Technical High School

William Owens graduated from Cape May County Technical High School in June. The grandson of Pat Gentile and George Ditzel of Sea Isle City, William will be attending Rowan University to study chemistry. In high school, he chose the Law Enforcement and Public Service Career Path, and earned several certificates. He also took courses for credit at Atlantic County Community College and was dual enrolled at Stockton University for American Sign Language. This summer, William will head to Rowan early to begin taking courses and participate in a leadership development program.
